THOMAS JOHNSON AREA YOUTH ("TJAY") SOCCER CLUB
U6 In – House Program
Teams for boys and girls born in preschool and kindergarten.
The TJAY Soccer's In-House Program is usually players first introduction to soccer (or organized sports generally) and the primary goal is to ensure players have fun, while planting the seeds for a lifelong enjoyment of the game. The goal is to foster the basic learning of the sport while getting the maximum number of touches on the ball in a fun environment through the use of drills and exercises.
The U6 TJAY In-House League provides a fun, safe and developmentally appropriate soccer environment for our young players. Participants will learn invaluable skills to build a foundation for participation in the game. Our teams play small-sided games (3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4) with no goalkeepers as we focus on improving each player’s technical ability with the ball. Teams play other TJAY In-House teams.
Teams generally consist of 6-8 players. Teams in this age group are coached by parent-volunteers who use the age-group curriculum to run weekly training sessions. Teams practice twice a week (20-30 minutes) followed by 30-40 minutes of game play against another TJAY In-House team. Teams play 7-8 weeks each season.
What's Included:
